GFE Stealth™: Image Identification and Extraction Tool
GFE Stealth™ is used to identify and capture graphics files (pictures) stored on computer hard disk drives. It is an easy-to-use, computer forensics tool that helps identify whether or not a targeted computer system contains evidence in the form of graphics files. As an evidence pre-processing tool, its use can help reduce computer evidence processing backlogs in law enforcement child porn cases by allowing you to quickly identify which computers to send to the computer lab for further processing. It was designed by retired IRS-CID special agents with more than 50 years of combined criminal investigations and computer forensics experience.
GFE Stealth™ scans the computer without altering any of the computer evidence within. It will even scan the ambient (hidden or deleted) data on the hard drive to detect images and partial images which may have been deleted in haste.
Allowing you to quickly identify the extent to which a targeted computer contains graphic files (deleted or not), which depict adult or child pornography, is useful in child porn investigations by law enforcement agencies and in workplace computer use abuse cases. It is also helpful in classified government agencies in the identification of graphics files which may contain classified terms and information. The time saved by only processing the computers, which may contain offending images, will allow your local computer lab to complete cases quicker and reduce their backlog.
